Wordless Wednesday

Nothing Like a Wet Weekend,,

Well this past weekend was a very wet and windy weekend, that put all our BBQ plans to wash. We got hit with Tropical Storm Beryl. But all was not lost, I got alot of crafting done and it was a perfect weekend to do just that. I did a little of this and little of that, and it made my fingers oh so happy to be moving again. We watched a couple of movies, order pizza and just sat around chilling out. And this morning it is still here, raining like its never rained before. We definitely need this rain and my flowers and plants are loving it, but I really need it to leave by tomorrow as I have running around today and don't feel like getting soak doing it..So enough about that, I am back to stitching,crocheting,sewing and reading and I am back in my element, and with a bang, well enough talking about it lets me show you..

First up is my granddaughter 4th of July outfit I made her,,I am having a matching bow made for her to..


 Next up is my stitching I am working on and loving it. It is "Marys Best" by With thy Needle and Thread, there is a little sheep down by the girl, you can barely see it. I am stitching it on the recommended fabric 30ct, and using DMC threads.

 And this beauty I call my African violet afghan, I am crocheting it in the larkspur/teardrop pattern and I LOVE this pattern with these colors, I ran out of yarn so it is off to Hobby Lobby to get some more of their I Love This Yarn,,

 And last but not least, I crochet around this blanket, I will be putting this cutie in my Etsy Shop.

Hello Tuesday,,

Hello fellow bloggers,,
Hope you are having a very happy day,,hope the sun is shinning where you are at and the birds are singing,,I just have to tell you all, after living in Arizona for 14 years and seeing nothing but cactus and dirt, and then moving to Florida 2.5 years ago I am in awe, everyday I see something to be grateful for. I see Cardinals and Bluebirds everyday at my bird feeder. I see little grey squirrels running along the top of the fence or playing in my yard. I see my plants growing and blooming. Don't get me wrong AZ does have it beautiful points but when you have looked at brown for so long,,green is just amazing..and you know the best part,,it doesn't get to be 120 here. Today I started to make my granddaughter 4th of July outfit..the top is done and if I do say so myself it turned out cute. This is my grandson's last week at pre-school..he will be lost without his buddies, he really enjoyed going to pre-school and his teacher is so nice..Well I hope you all have a fantastic day..tell next time,,hugs and stitches

Not a Food Post..

Thank goodness huh,,,well I couldn't sleep last night so on pinterest I went looking,searching and whatever else we all do on it.  And I found this easy peasy skirt tutorial and thought,,I am going to make one tomorrow..of course at 2am my brain is racing and getting more ideas in it.  So this morning came and off I went to the Goodwill to find a nice tee shirt for my new skirt and to AC Moore to get some elastic thread, which I was totally in awe at since I have never seen or heard of it before. Then home I came to try out this new DIY project and in 20 minutes I have a awesome springy comfy skirt. I couldn't believe it, because in stores these puppies are expensive..and the total cost for mine was Shirt-$3.50, Thread-$1.97=$5.47 Sweettttttttt..and I see many more skirts in my future..well I hope you all had and productive day and we will chat again soon I am sure of it,,till then,,hugs and lots of stitches..

I just love it when I make a new item for dinner and it turns out amazing,,,like this Asiago-Crusted
Pork Chop,,it is so tasty. The fresh Thyme and Lemon really do it for me,,if you would like to try it here
and let me know how you like it,,I served mine with smashed cauliflower..enjoy.

Tonights Dinner is---Parmesan Tilipia

Tonight's dinner was very yummy..Since moving to Florida over 2 years ago we have tried more seafood that we wouldn't normally eat..and so far we have liked most of them..Talipia being one we like alot..so if you are fish lover and want to try this recipe then go here and then come back and let me know how you liked it,,tomorrow dinners will be another new one for use,,Asiago Crusted Pork Chops.Bon Appetit

Hope this bright and sunny Monday morning finds you all well. Well I am doing the usually Monday things..laundry,dishes,cleaning..and sneaking in some crocheting time. I did make 2 deco podge frames over the weekend.  The cheetah one is for a neighbors daughter who's birthday is tomorrow and the pink and green one is for me..they were easy and fun to do..and the picture below that is a start of a new afghan pattern or me, it is called either Tear Drop or Larksfoot,,I am calling this my African Violet one,,as it reminds me of the colors of one..it is easy peasy and I am really enjoying working on it,,well I hope you all have a very awesome and productive week,,and lets chat soon...hugs

Good Morning,
Hope you all are having a nice relaxing weekend.  I am, doing what I love to do crafting..I am planning on doing a little sewing and then it is onto starting a new afghan pattern for me..The weather here in North Eastern florida is beautiful today, sunshine everywhere..Here are my latest Stitch Markers that I made up yesterday,,they are now listed in my Etsy shop. Hope your weeks are productive as well..And I love  hearing from each and everyone of you,,and LOVE looking at all your beautiful pictures..sending huggs around the world..

Keeping my sanity...

I have been hiding out in my sewing room the last couple of nights,,my husband and daughter have been on a FlashPoint kick rerun on netflix and so I have been doing some sewing..these cute little newborn dresses were so much fun to sew..they are going to a friend of my daughters who is due next month..I have also made 2 more pillowcases and have 1 more dress done..my stitching has taken a back burner to my sewing but I am ok with that..at least I am still being creative..hope you all are having a great week,,till next time,,huggs

I forgot to post this,,I made this cute pillowcase last week,,using this great turtorial, doing french seams..and let me tell you it took about 20 minutes to make this. This will be going to AZ to my grandaughter Channing..

New Stitch Markers,,,,

Hello, it has been a good week. I have been really productive, well at least I think I have been, and that is all that counts right. I really think Mr Winter has skip over Florida this year, I am not complaining as the weather is beautiful..and with all the pictures of flower, and bright colors I am ready for spring. Well here are 2 things that I did this morning. They were fun and I think that are adorable..who doesn't love cupcakes or little sheep. My stitching is taking a back burner to my sewing this week, but I am thinking I will be picking it up real soon. I also have a new addiction, it is called Pinterest and that has been taking up to much of my time,,but oh it is fun to look at all the pictures..so if you are on Pinterest I would be honor for you to follow me. A final finish for 2011

Here he is in all his glory a little finish,,I just love me some cardinals..and I have stitch this one 2 other times for gifts and thought it was time I did one for me,,
And here is an update on Betsy,,I thought for sure I would have her finish before the end of the year but my eye surgery put a stop to that,,she will be done in 2012.

And my new start will be Shepherds Bush The Wool Gatherer. 2011 wasnt that good in finishes for me,,I seem to take a major break from all my crafting during the summer months, even my husband had notice and mention it that I hadn't done any kind of crafts in a long time..
Well I am hoping you all have a Happy New Year, and I cant wait to see all the projects everyone is planning on doing in 2012...cheers and huggs.

As 2011 comes to a close..

I just want to reflect on the last year. I have many things to be thankful for, my health as one. A month ago I went to the eye doctor and they found a spot on my eye, and decided to do a eye biopsy to see if it was cancer, which made it for a stressful 2 weeks till surgery and then another week to get the results back. Well I made it thru the surgery and the results where the best Christmas present I received..no cancer just a sunspot on my eye..But I also have my family and they have been all healthy this year..my friends both on here and in person, I am truly thankful for you all, you take me to beautiful places I only dream of going, and show your beautiful artwork, and share with me your life's journeys of goods and bad, I am truly blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life. I live in a beautiful place and have a roof over my head and food in my stomach..and I thank God everyday for the little things like seeing a beautiful cardinal at my bird feeder, or hearing my 3 year old grandson laugh..2011 was a good year and I am praying that 2012 will be a better year,,I just want to wish you all a very Happy New Year and my all your dreams come true in it...sending hugs all over the world to you..

Well Friday is here, and as I sit here typing up this blog post, I am thinking of what I what to accomplish this coming year. I am not making any New Year resolutions as I am one to never keep them. So I am just going to post what I would like to accomplish this year..And I am sure the list will grow longer as the more I think about all the items I would love to do..but for now I have on 3 things..up first is stitching..

This I am hoping Santa will bring me,,I have loved this kit for years..so this will be my January start if I get it..

And this one I already have it kitted up,,

And on the reading front I would love to read all the OUTLANDER series by Diana Gabaldon. I have done some stitching in the early week, then I was hit with a very nasty flu bug that is still trying to hang on..so I will post pictures in the next post..well I hope you all have a very productive weekend,,and stay healthy..till next time.

Another quick finish..

Just finished this little cutie,,and its all your guys fault that I didn't finish yesterday. I get so involved at looking at you beautiful blogs and all the beautiful work you all do, that I don't get any stitching done. Please tell me I am not alone in this matter. Hello Monday its nice to see you....

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend,,,I did..I just love football season. It means I can sit for hours and work on my stitching,crocheting or sewing...and not fell guilty..I have picked back up my stitching and crocheting and you know what it fells wonderful, awesome, delightful..it is so good to be working on my crafty stuff again..and I have been reading like crazy to...I have read 2 books and almost done with the 3rd one in just a couple of weeks,,,It is going to be a nice quiet week here for us,,with our boys back in AZ and TX it will just be the 4 of us,,which is ok with me,,but I am really looking forward to Christmas this year,,don't know why but I am really getting into the spirit of things,,it might be because it is all starting early this year,,but I just feel in the Spirit of Christmas,,now if Florida will just get with the program and knock off this warm weather and give us some cold weather that would be the icing on the cake,,and yes I played Christmas Music today,,in fact I would have my tree up already but I think a 19 year old would throw a fit..oh well Friday will come soon enough...well now here is the proof that I have been up to crafty goodness...I hope you all have a blessed week,,and get alot of crafty goodness done before Thursday...till next time

Pioneer Womens Meatballs My Way..

These little gems are easy to make and are delish and a big hit with the hubby...I tweak the recipe alittle,,instead of oats I used seasoned bread crumbs,and I put in 1 cup of chopped onions and used jar sauce instead of her sauce with uses 1 cup of ketchup which I am not a big fan of..I only cooked 1/2 of the meatballs and freeze the other half,,I will be making these little babies again...if you need the orginal recipe you can go to Pioneer Womens Blog(in my sidebar)and go to her cooking tab and type in Meatballs,,they are her Comfort Meatball recipe..what are you having for dinner tonight come and share,,until then huggs..
