WIP's,Upcoming new Projects,and Christmas Pretties

Hello,
I hope this post finds you all in good health and enjoying the holiday season. I am taking Christmas week off so I have from 17th-27th off and I will be baking my little heart out.  Last year I missed out on all the baking as I was to sick to do it. The weather here in NE Florida has been beautiful this past week and I have been outside with my client everyday enjoying the warm sunshine and reading a awesome book. It is called The Last Time I saw Paris by Lynn Sheene it is set in the 1940's between New York and Paris, if you haven't read it go check it out. I have been doing some stitching also one item I can't show you as it is a Christmas present for a special person but as soon as she receives it I will post a picture. But my current wips are Quarker Garden by Blackbird design which is my main project right now and my other one is The Woolgatherer by Shepherds Bush. I was hoping to have Quaker Garden done by New Year's Day but it doesn't look like it. I have 2 new starts planned to start on Christmas Day they are Tis the Season by Blackbird Design and there is a sal group on Facebook so if any of you want to stitch it come join the group. There isn't a start date just whenever you want to stitch it. And the other is Waterlily by Nora Corbett. I am looking forward to starting them. I really don't know what has gotten into me I used to be a 1 project person but that is not anymore and really I don't feel bad about it...life is to short to be a 1 project person anymore 😉. We decorated the house and tree. Thanksgiving weekend and I want to share some of my pretties with you all, I love seeing everyone's decorations and believe it I love seeing all the snow pictures, part of me wants to live in it and part of me says not even..
Well I think that is it for now till next time take care,
Devon

The following 2 are my current wip's Quaker Garden by Blackbird and Wool Gatherer by Shepherds Bush.

The following is going to be a New Years start for me it is a Heaven and Earth design by Jasmine Beckett Griffth.
The Following are some of our Christmas Decorations this year..

Hello December

Well here I am only 10 months to write a post. You would think I have been having a exciting life but nothing really has been going on. I am still working being a caregiver for the same guy, and I am enjoying it more. I have completely lost my knitting mojo but don't worry I have totally found my stitching and sewing mojo. I have also acquired some new stash and some new designers. New things have been popping in my Etsy shop so go have a look and I have big plans for the coming year for my shop so keep a eye out for them..I am feeling great and I am crediting it to that I have been taking my vitamins religiously. And I swear I am not going to get sick this holiday season...we don't have any big plans for Christmas or New Years and we had a quiet Thanksgiving. Well I will stop here and leave you with some pictures. Here is to a great month December is going to be..take care my friends till next time.

Its Been Awhile

Yes it has been awhile, but I am back..I had company for 12 days and then time just slipped away from me. I haven't been knitting or stitching that much and I am ready to get back into the game again. On a good note I have not been sick for over 3 weeks and that is a good feeling. My liver test came back as just having a fatty liver. So no more doctor visits for awhile. Here in North East Florida we have been having very cold (for us) and dreary weather, we are missing our sunshine. My company was my son Josh and his wife and kids they all came from Az for a nice visit, we went to St Augustine, Amelia Island, Jax Beach, and Orlando for 3 days, we visited Downtown Disney, Epcot, and closed down Disneyworld. We bought a 3 day pass and have 1 more day left on it to use by June 5th, so I think hubby and I are going back down to Epcot for a leisure day. Well that is about all the news I have I will leave you with pictures of one finished object, a update on my Sampler Hill by With Thy Needle and Thread/Country Stitches, and one from us down in Orlando. Hope you all have a safe and warm weekend.

Finishes...

Hello my Friends,
The sun is shining here in northeast florida, so it is a good day to post. I finish my hat and framed a small cross stitch project that was sitting around for a long time. On the down side I am sick again with a cold and cough, went to the doctor on Thursday and got on some steroids and nasal sprays,,this is getting really old. My stress test came back good and he wants to see me in 6 months 15lbs lighter. But my liver ultra-sound came back abnormal so I have to wait till Thursday to find out what is going on with that.
I did get alittle more done on my Sampler Hill so I will show that to. I am working on a teacozy also but it doesn't look like much now so I will post when it looks like something. I am having a hard time with what to start knitting since I finished my hat, I have a lot of projects in mind but which one is the question. Well I think that is it for now, till next time keep stitching on whatever you are stitching and we will chat again soon.

Happy Thursday...

Hello,
I hope today finds you all warm and toasty. It is chilly here in North East Florida and looks like it will be for the next week. This week has been good, I am feeling a lot better and had my ultrasound on my liver today so I should get the results back early next week. I have been knitting and stitching this week and it is going really good. I am also hoping to get some sewing done this weekend as I don't have any plans to go anyplace, keeping fingers cross because I am really missing my sewing machine. I went to my stitch-in last Saturday and had a great time, missed some girls but it was a nice small crowd, then my friend Melody and I went to Panera for a bite to eat and had a enjoyable time..must do that more often Melody. Well I think that is about it for now I will leave you with some update photos to enjoy. The first is my Love Vine Hat by Maiden Brooklyn it is a paid for pattern on Ravelry and I will be knitting more of these, I have really enjoyed knitting this one, I have knitted it out of Malabrigo Yarn in English Rose colorway my favorite.
And then here is my updated picture of The Sampler Hill by With Thy Needle and Thread/Country Stitches, again I am really loving stitching this one, as I have the other one of hers I have stitch. I am stitching it on 36 count fabric in the colorway Cornsilk by weekdye works and using the recommended threads.

I'm Back....

oh my! I have been missing in action and I am sorry..This past year was a blur and the end of 2014 totally suck I was sick for the last 3 weeks of it..But I am feeling a lot better and back on my game. I just wasn't feeling like myself for most of the year and so I finally went to the doctor and got on some blood pressure medicine and now I am feeling like a human again, then I get a bad chest cough and cold and that knocks me down for 3 weeks but I am back up and running..
I did make it to Clearwater Beach for a little vacation in June for 5 days and that was really nice, we hit up Clearwater Marina and got to see Hope and Winter. I did a little crafting but not much..
I am hoping to post every week with what's happening and pictures of what I am working on...
I have been reading blogs and my new obsession is watching podcast about my crafts, if you watch them let me know which ones so I can check them out.
I am leaving you with some pictures of what I am working on and a few new books.

Starting with the top picture, I started Blackbird Design and haven't got much done but liking this one so far, I have bee wanting to stitch this one for a long time. I am also working on Sampler Hill by With Thy Needle and Thread and will post a picture of that next week.
Next picture is going to be a Bankhead Hat Knitting Natural it is a free download on Ravelry and there is a knitalong going on on Instagram by obiwanknitter, so far I am really like it and plan on making more. Then the next 2 pictures are new books I received in the mail this week and really love both of them, you can get the both of them on Amazon. Well I guess that is it for now, if you want to find me on Instagram I am Devonfl and on Ravelry I am Devon-kay. I hope you all have a good and productive weekend, till next time take care.
