I am now reading a christian fiction book called A Thorn in my Heart by Liz Curtis Higgs

In the autumn of 1788, amid the moors and glens of the Scottish Lowlands, two brothers fight to claim one father's blessing, two sisters long to claim one man's heart. Leana slipped beneath the woolen covers, leaving one taper burning high on the dresser where it would not disturb her slumber. Clouds had moved in and blotted out the moon, for the window was dark, and her whole room, except for the tiny flame, remained pitch black. "As dark as a Yule midnight," Neda would say. Darkness was nothing to fear. Far greater fears gnawed on Leana's soul. A life without love, without a husband, without children. For her it was no life at all. But what if that was the life the Almighty had chosen for her? If it pleased him, could she bear it?
I have 2 more books in my to read pile,,and they are Rebecca and The Last Kiss.

Sometimes, when you open the door to thepast, what you confront is your destiny.
Reclusive author Vida Winter, famous for her collection of twelve enchantingstories, has spent the past six decades penning a series of alternate livesfor herself. Now old and ailing, she is ready to reveal the truth about herextraordinary existence and the violent and tragic past she has kept secret forso long. Calling on Margaret Lea, a young biographer troubled by her ownpainful history, Vida disinters the life she meant to bury for good. Margaret ismesmerized by the author's tale of gothic strangeness -- featuring the beautifuland willful Isabelle, the feral twins Adeline and Emmeline, a ghost, a governess,a topiary garden and a devastating fire. Together, Margaret and Vida confront the ghosts that have haunted them while becoming, finally, transformed by the truth themselves.

Some good reading to come...

Hello I just felt like posting about reading and that is something I love to do,,and it does not help that I work for one of the biggest book sellers in the U.S..I am making myself take a challenge,,and that is to read 7 more books by the end of the year. Now some of you may think that is a very easy challenge, but for me I am a slow reader and also I like to do many other things besides reading which takes up my time. So I have till December 31st to finish these books which are 1) Rebecca by Daphnedu Maurier 2) Dance with the Devil by Sherrilyn Kenyon 3) Blood Orange Brewing by Laura Childs 4) Trudys Promise by Marcia Preston 5) Thorn in my Heart by Liz Curtis Higgs 6) The Thirteen Tale by Diane Setterfield 7) The Last Kiss by Luanne Rice, and I will keep you all posted on my progress,,right now I am over 1/2 way done with Nora Roberts newest one Tribute, which I am enjoying alot..and I was wondering if anyone out there would love to give themselves a reading challenge and post it on there blog or in the comments here,,,well wish me luck.
