Something For Me...

I have been looking at jewelry in stores for a long time and I didnt want to pay the price they wanted to sell it at,,knowing I could probly make it myself...And I have been wanting a Cameo Necklace forever..well I was in Michaels today and some of there beading items are on sale 2 for $5 and this chain and cameo was on sale,,,so when I got home I put this necklace together in like 5 minutes and now I am wearing and loving it..I dont think I will ever at least I am going to try not to buy already made jewelry again if it is something I can make myself...

Well it is the beginning of the weekend and I for one is very happy about that...I am working on some brand new items for my Etsy store so keep checking back..and tomarrow we are going to check out a new farmers market,,I am loving living here in florida..and then we are going to a new Church on Sunday..and hopefully getting more stuff unpack..but in the mean time here are some photo's of items from my store and some of my grandson Max,,thanks and have a very productive or relaxing weekend...

Happy Birthday to me..

I am still alive,,,
I am still here,,,alot has been going on,,,I have been down in Jacksonville Florida for the last week house hunting,,,and fly back to Arizona tomarrow morning,,,then the packers come on tuesday and we fly back down thursday...we have found a house but are waiting for the application to go thru so saying prayers and keeping fingers cross that we get this house...we love the area and have been to many site seeing places,,I will post pictures later...alittle reading has been happening but not any crafting going on...well till next time....

It is late,,and I am still up....

Again it is a late night and here I am posting on my blog...oh well...I am addicted to reading blogs especially book blogs..I love seeing and reading about what everyone is reading..I have gotten alot of great recommendations off of them..I finished reading Oolong Dead by Laura Childs and loved it,,,it is the 10th in the series of Tea Shop mystery books of hers...I love the characters and little tea shop she owns and the description of Charleston...and there are so many twist and turns in the story that you don't know who did it till the end..up next on the reading is a 4th in the series that I love also,,Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning the series is so good that I picked up the next in the series as soon as I finished the one right before it..If you like paranormal stories then I would highly recommend this series..it has alot of action in it and the story line is full of surprises....

Well we have heard on some news about our move to Florida,,the paperwork for the transfer is signed and in the hands of the people that set up the move and travel section of it,,my husband heard from his new boss in Florida that he wants him down there by the 18th of Sept,,that is only 3 weeks and 2 days away...which means I have a whole bucket load of stuff to do like get our house ready to sale..I am looking forward to moving and being by the ocean...and living somewhere new...

Hello my friends,

Well it is the first day of the week, and I am working today..but before I run off to work I wanted to make an entry on my blog,,I have finished reading South of Broad by Pat Conroy, and really liked it. It was my first Pat Conroy book that I read and it won't be my last. Between the characters that he built in the story and the description of Charleston South Carolina it was hard to put down to sleep..There is still no knitting or stitching going on here,,just work and hoping for a date as when we will be moving to jacksonville, Florida..

Up next on the reading list is an all time favorite author of mine. And in keeping with the Charleston scenery I will be reading the lastest book in Laura Childs Tea Shop Mystery series, called Oolong Dead, I really like this series and have grown to love the characters in it,,and on top of a cozy mystery story the description of Charleston is very inviting..if you have not read any of the Tea Shop mysteries I highly recommend them..they will have you longing to take a visit to Charleston South Carolina and a sweet bonus is she has put recipes in the back of the book,,,

Here I am,,,

I know its been a couple of weeks since my last post,,alot has been going on. Work for one just keeps getting in the way of things, oh well if it was'nt for work then I could'nt get all the great books or stitching projects I wanted now could I. And hubby and I went on a little vacation, we went to Southern California for 4 days to visit my side of the family. We stayed at my brothers house and had a fabulous time, went to antique and thrift stores and had a blast I finally found me a glass flower frog for the scissor collection,,well take pictures soon. And the high light of the trip was to the beach there was 9 of us and we had a blast,,I finally got to put my toes in sand and smell the sea air and play in the sea. I cant believe I have lived in the desert for 14 years. I am a water person. As for reading well I am in a slump I have started many books but none have caught my attention I didnt even finish Rebecca and I have been wanting to read that one for a long time..oh well maybe next time..

This past week at work 2 ladies from South Carolina came up to me and said they know Pat Conroy the author and both ladies had the sweetiest southern accent I have ever heard and were so sweet to talk to. And both loved his books, so when I saw we had an advance copy of his lastest book in the break room I jumped on it, now I am reading it and so far I like it. Maybe that is what I had to do to read was move outside my box of what I ususally read and so far it is working, as I have not heard of Pat Conroy before his new book came out.

After this week I dont what I like more British accents or Southern accents those to ladies just made my day at work by stopping by and talking to me..We are still planning on moving to Jacksonville Florida hopifully we will get some information this week about when we will be going,,I have lived in Georgia before and we fell in love with Savannnah and cant wait to get back there to see it again..and Charleston South Carolina has always been a city I would love to visit..Well I have ramble on enough, I will keep you all updated on the reading,,since there is no stitching going on..here is the Pat Conroy book I am reading.

It is 1135pm and here I am typing a post on my blog,,,I should be in bed as I have to get up at 630am for work,,,oh well I had to finished reading my book,,,and I know I am not the only one that stays up late to do that now am I???I just finished reading Vision in White by Nora Roberts and let me tell you that was the sweetest quirkiest love stories I have read in a long time,,it was just a really cute and funny love story and I had the best time reading it. I highly recommend reading it and it is a trilogy and the next installment is due out this coming December and I cant wait...I love Nora Roberts writing and have not read anything I didnt or would'nt recommend reading of her's...

Up next on the reading is Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier this one comes highly recommended by my manager at work,,and a guy customer to..here is the synopis

Everlasting by Kathleen E Woodwiss..I just finished this book and it is one of the best historical romance I have read in a long time..of course since I have been reading my stitching is sitting in the corner pouting...but I would recommend this book, it is not a bodice ripping book but a nice romance..up next on the reading table is Visions in White by Nora Roberts it is the first in a triology..I have read many of Nora Roberts books both stand alone and her triologys and have not been dissapointed in any...

Oh My,,,

I do believe this is my favorite movie so far,,,and how could it not be,,with such awesome actors in it...I have added this one to my list,,as I am so glad I joined in on the Everything Austen Challenge I dont believe I would not have watched this many Austen's movies..and everyone has been a great movie..lets not forget about the great books to be read also...and the best part of this movie was it was only $5.00 at Target...you read that right...if you have not added this one to your collection of Jane Austen movies I would highly recommend you do...well till next time...and please do feel free to leave a comment as it would make my day...

Just finished a Read..

I just finished reading Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress, I liked it alot. Story of 3 youths in the mountains of China during the re-educations and what kept them going...a short read but one you cant put down..

Pride and Prejudice,,

I just got done watching this movie,,I have seen it before..but with just finishing reading the book it was so much better...I highly recommend this version of it..but like Persuasion I will be watching the BBC version of it also...it did follow the book,,but in some parts not as closely as I had hope for,,overall I loved it..but you really cant go wrong with anything Jane Austen or anything British...the actors did a marvalous job portraying the characters from the book..

Well I would love to hear your views on this movie if you have seen it...and if you haven't I again highly recommend it...so that is 3 items marked off my Anything Austen Challenge...only 9 more to do...please leave a comment as I would love to hear from you...

Oh my I forgot to tell you all..
My grandson Bryson who has been in the hospital for the first 4 months of his life is now home...he was release at 5pm yesterday,,my son and his wife had all there sibling over last night for pizza to celebrate him coming home,,as I worked all day yesterday could not make it..but we are very relieved he is home and is looking great...for everyone that sent well wishes thank you from our family...now we are complete...

Pride and Prejudice,

I just finished reading this classic by Jane Austen and love it,,infact I could'nt put down the book for the last 100 pages...I do like this one a little more the Persuasion but not much..if you would like to read a great book then please read Pride and prejudice..so that is 2 down 10 to go in my Everything Austen Challenge..

Now the next book up is Balzac and the Little Chinese steamstress, this one I have to amit got me by the cover and then as I turned over the book to read the back the story had me me this is a short read at 184 pages but after reading Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion I am in need of a quick read,,so keep a lookout for a review on the is and if any of you have already read it please leave a comment about your reguards to it..

I am happy today is friday since I have the day off,,,I dont have any big plans for today just to chill out at home and read and do some stitching,,doesn't that sound like a wonderful day to you...plus it is to hot here to do anything anyway,,,I might be seeing Harry Potter this afternoon thou and that will be worth going out in the heat for..since I work at a book store I have to say most of my pay goes to books,,and that is not a bad thing,,at least I dont think it is my husband might had a different view of it..so yesterday I picked up a couple of books on the buy 2 get one free table,,and I was wondering if any of you have read these and what you think of them,,,I am trying to read new authors and these sounded like good reads.. Of course anything to do with Jane Austen must be good right???

Well another week begins,,and with a bang,,I woke up at 415am with a painfull back pain..went to bed feeling great..so I dont know what happen. Got up and took ibiprofen and went back to bed and woke up at 845am feeling better, at least I can move around without being in extreme pain..today I am off work so I have a bunch of running around today,,but I wanted to let you all see my progress on Beneath the Sunlit sky,,I am really enjoying stitching this one,,my next project will be Return to the Sea with Jane Austen by The Sampler Girl,,it is one of my challenge pieces so I thought I would start it now..I am still reading P&P and enjoying it. This is the secondly classic I have read and I cant believe I took so long in reading them,,tonight will be watching the 5th Harry Potter movie and I cant wait,,I did'nt really like number 4 but loved number 3,,so we will see how number 5 goes..till next time have a great week stitching and doing whatever,,
