I am happy today is friday since I have the day off,,,I dont have any big plans for today just to chill out at home and read and do some stitching,,doesn't that sound like a wonderful day to you...plus it is to hot here to do anything anyway,,,I might be seeing Harry Potter this afternoon thou and that will be worth going out in the heat for..since I work at a book store I have to say most of my pay goes to books,,and that is not a bad thing,,at least I dont think it is my husband might had a different view of it..so yesterday I picked up a couple of books on the buy 2 get one free table,,and I was wondering if any of you have read these and what you think of them,,,I am trying to read new authors and these sounded like good reads.. Of course anything to do with Jane Austen must be good right???

Onto stitching news,,,I WON the chart over at Anns blog,,I cant believe I won something,,I never win..so I notified Ann right away and hopefully my chart will be here soon...I have been plugging along on Beneath the Sunlit Sky and I am 2/3 of way done,,,it is looking quite pretty..I am really enjoying this pattern...and my up next project with be by The Sampler Girl Return to the Sea with Jane Austen,,and I am itching to start that one..well I have enclosed pictures of my new reads and a updated picture of the stitching,,I hope you enjoy them and if you would leave a comment that would make my day till next time,,,keep reading and stitching...

Well another week begins,,and with a bang,,I woke up at 415am with a painfull back pain..went to bed feeling great..so I dont know what happen. Got up and took ibiprofen and went back to bed and woke up at 845am feeling better, at least I can move around without being in extreme pain..today I am off work so I have a bunch of running around today,,but I wanted to let you all see my progress on Beneath the Sunlit sky,,I am really enjoying stitching this one,,my next project will be Return to the Sea with Jane Austen by The Sampler Girl,,it is one of my challenge pieces so I thought I would start it now..I am still reading P&P and enjoying it. This is the secondly classic I have read and I cant believe I took so long in reading them,,tonight will be watching the 5th Harry Potter movie and I cant wait,,I did'nt really like number 4 but loved number 3,,so we will see how number 5 goes..till next time have a great week stitching and doing whatever,,

Happy Day its Friday,,,
And its my day off...so maybe I can get some stitching and reading down..we will see...my stitching hasn't been happening that much this week, due to watching all the Harry Potter movies. Since the new one comes out to theaters this wednsday..cant wait..I forgot how good the movies are. My husband and son Jesse are also watching them with me,,it has been fun. I am still reading Pride and Prejudice..I did pick up the new Nora Roberts book and another one by her at work yesterday so I am anxious to finish P&P..well that seems to be all that is happening around here, I will leave you with an updated picture of Beneath the Sunlit Sky..

Happy Monday,

Well the weekend is over,,I had to work all weekend but that is ok since it was really slow are work and I got to leave early on saturday..I have been stitching everynight on BBD Beneath a Sunlit sky and I am really loving it,,I dont know if it is the colors or the design but I dont want to sleep or work I just want to stitch,,do any of you out there ever fell or felt that way about a design you are working on..since I have gotten back into my stitching mojo I have spent way to much money,,I guess I have to make up for not spending for 2 years huh,...sounds good to me. Well I wont bore you anymore here are some progress pictures and some of my grandsons,,Max is the the red/blondish one he is 1, Bryson is the baby baby, and Anthony is squinty eye one that is his new thing,,,well I hope you all have a great week and keep those needles moving..till next time..enjoy the pictures.

Another small finish....

Happy Sunday everyone,

I finished this small freebie by Little House Needleworks last night,,I had to rip out 3/4 of the border since I miss placed the wording and the last side of the border would'nt fit right,,I still like it without it...this concludes my patriotic stitching,,now I can move onto my project I've been wanting to stitch for a while and that is Beneath the Sunlit sky by BBD,,well here are pictures of my finished item,,hopefully I will be posting pictures of some of my project in progress,,also we went to see my grandson Bryson who is still in the hospital and he is doing alot better,,all they are waiting for is for him to gain some more weight and then he can come home,,he is 31/2 months old now...pictures of him and my other 2 grandsons will be coming this week,,,they are all growing so fast..well till next time take care..

Another Finish,,,,

Happy Day,,

Even thou it is a small project it is still a finish,,this was a fun one to do, I just finished this tonight and I am happy how it turned out..I changed some colors around I used blue for the 1776 instead of brown and I used dmc 321 for the red and a dmc 945 for the face and hand I also outlined the house in blue instead of the brown. I have started Summer House by Little house needlworks which was a freebie I am hoping to have that one done by the 4th of July we will see. Also it is a sad day we have lost 3 great icons that I grew up with, please be in prayer for the families...they will be missed...well the weekend is right around the corner I hope all you fellow bloggers out there will have a great one.

Its another week....

Well I cant believe June is almost over,,we had a nice fathers day I of course had to work but I didnt have to go in till 2 so we went out to eat for lunch had a nice time..The weather here has finally hit over 100,,we have enjoyed the 90's and now summer is here in Arizona..I have been stitching and buying. Here are some pictures of the stitching I have been doing, I am really hoping to get the patriotic one done before the 4th July..I did get a couple more mofits done on the quaker one. I really want to stitch Beneath the Sunlit Sky by Blackbird design I got all the supplies in and now just waiting to finish the one I am working on..We are hopefully going to be moving to Florida the Jacksonville area between Aug & Oct,,my husbands job is tranfering there and so we will be leaving Arizona by the end of the year..we are ready to move..we have been in Arizona for 14 years and since we are ex military we are not use to staying in one place for more then 3 years so this move is long over due, plus I am really missing the green and rain..well that is all for now I hope you all have a wonderful week till next time..keep the needles moving...

Weekend Stitching

I have a finish yeahhhh,,,my first in a couple of years as I am just now picking back up my needle from taking about a 2 year break...and I am happy with the result...I finish the Bookshelf by Little House Needlework, and I picked back up my french quaker freebie I am stitching this over one on 28ct Lugana using Week Dye Works Mulberry thread.,,only till my supples come in for Blackbird design Beneth the Sunlit sky which I cant wait to start...so here are some pictures hope you enjoy them...Also on the reading front, I finished Persuasion and really liked it. Today I have off of work and it is very quiet here,, I am enjoy my coffee and computer time...I want to show you all what goodies I got last night,,at my work they are having a buy 2 get one free dvd sale so I couldnt pass it up,,also at the grocery store they had the same same and got some dvd's there,, also all the Barnes and Noble classics are on sale for buy 2 get one free and I had to jump on that to,,,I am almost done reading Persuasion and I think I will read Pride and Predjudice next I am really enjoying it..well I hope you all have a wonderful week out there and here are some pictures to enjoy...

This is so cool...

My mom was from Exeter England and so I am a big history buff on anything England,,I know I am related to Sir Francis Drake the Queens Pirate and so when I went searching for any thing on my mom's school she went to when she was growing up I was shock to find info on it..here are some pictures of it and a link to the article of it..I hope you enjoy it...the color picture is of Bishop Blackall in the 1900's and the 2 black and white ones are of the school in the 1920's.

Happy Saturday...

Hello everyone,

Today the weather here is Arizona is great,,,I got to go out this morning to my LNS,,the Attic and saw Jean for the first time in at least a year..it feels good to be stitching again. I did get some goodies and will be going back on friday for some more..I got a Blackbird design I have been wanting for a long time and also some 28ct Cashel cream fabric and some week dye works I am needing for another project,,also Joanns has all there dmc floss on sale this weekend for 29 cents so I got some for other projects,,well I hope you all have a great memorial day weekend and I will talk to you soon,,here is a picture of my goodies..

What I will be reading this summer..

I just decided this morning that I need a change from my vampire books I have been reading, so I thought that this summer I would only read classics..and starting with none other the Jane Austen and Persuasion. I am looking forward to reading classics as I love classic music,and movies so why wouldn't I like classic books..I will keep you all posted in what I am reading and how I liked them...till then good day...

Hello Everyone,

Its going to be a warm one this weekend here in Arizona,,,temps in the triple digits...oh yeah...well this is going to be a short post,,,had a nice quiet evening last night, Justin went and played racquette ball with our son Matt and so I sat down to do a little stitching and watch a movie I got yesterday,,it was a good one. I am into classics right now and Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorite actresses, it was "Paris when it Sizzles". Well I hope to get more stitching done this weekend, and some more movie watching. Here I am,,,

I know it has been ages since I last blog,,,shame on me..but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy...I mean with working 30 hrs and having 2 babies in the house who wouldn't be busy...we are all doing good,,,found out some exciting news,,,it looks like my husband and I will be moving to Florida by the end of the year hopefully sooner,,,Boeing is moving there Williams Gateway plant to Jacksonville Florida, we are excited to be moving...it is time for a change and we have lived in Georgia before so we know about the humidity...the kids and all staying here,,,they have all there friends and family here so we will be back for alot of visits. Cant stay away to long from the grandbabies...We have had a couple of birthdays and mothers day since I last posted so there has been some celebration going on here,,and Max is going to be 1 on June 3rd already boy that time goes by so quick doesnt it...and I think summer has hit us hear in Arizona it is in the low 100's and I dont see it getting lower then that till winter..Well on with the photo's the flowers are from my son Jesse and his fiance Casie for mothers day,,the tulips really took off arent they pretty...I have knitted 5 preemie hats and took them to the hospital already before I got pictures of them,,,but I also knitted 3 washcloths and that is what you are seeing..I also pick back up my cross stitching and this one is a Little House Needleworks called The Bookshelf,,,and then there are the ones of 2 out of 3 grandbabies,,,Bryson was born March 11 with his intestines outside and he is still in the hospital doing good he had to have surgery last week to remove a piece of them and his appendix, and then there is one of Me and Justin and Max and Anthony on mothers day...well I hope it wont be a long time before I post again,,,till next time...

Been sewing alittle...

I have been making blankets for the grandsons,,,and doing a little crocheting...we are having spring like weather here in Arizona and I am loving it..just wish I didnt have to work so much, I would be out in the dirt planting flowers....well enjoy the pictures and I hope you all had a wonderful weekend...till next time.

What I did...

Today is a overcast and cold day here in Arizona and I have to go to work this afternoon,,so I thought I would at least finish one project today...but before I get to that my grandson Max would like to show you what he did this morning...watching the doggies outside in his walker...I finished this chair, I picked it up at the thrift store for $10 and bought pink paint and already had the fabric,,my husband sanded it and painted it yesterday while I was at work and I covered the cushion this morning..not to bad, infact I think it turned out pretty good,,my goal is to do 5 more in different colors. What are you all doing today..I hope you are all staying nice and warm..

HAPPY 2009

Hello blog friends and family,

Toby and I just wanted to wish all our friends out there a very happy and blessed new year..I am like Rebecca and dont like doing resolutions as I never stick to them, but I will make a list of things I would like to accomplish this new year and see how far I get..So here it goes..

1. Get in better shape, go to the gym at least 4 times a week.

2. Get a handler on our finances, shop at thrift stores more.

3. Read more books off of my bookshelve, and not buy so many.

4. Finish at least 5 already started projects, and not start so many.

5. Have at least one day a week for just me, this is a must.

6. Cook more healthy meals, as my family would say at least cook a meal.

7. Plant some trees and flowers, mostly flowers and some lemon trees.

well that is it for now not to bad..how about you all what are you list like? Till next year have a great night..
