I have a question...

I am wanting to do a cross stitch project on 36 ct linen and I want to use Needlepoint silks..the question is do I use 1 or 2 strands of thread??Thanks,,

That's a tough one. I would guess 1 strand but if it were me I would do a few stitches both ways and see how the coverage is.

I agree with Julie M. My inclination would be to say one strand, but you have to try it both ways to see what you like.

Needlepoint silks are a significant investment, so don't buy all the thread for your project until you're sure about using one strand or two.

I tend to use 2 strands because I like coverage. It's a personal thing.

I'm a 2 strand person too. I like the stronger colours it gives.
