Thank goodness this week is over.....
It has been one of the worse weeks I have had in a long time, we went from 5 drivers and 4 cars to 5 drivers and 2 cars, and now we found out that my van's motor has died just to top things off...so we have one car and a rental and the van isn't worth 2500 dollars for a used motor,,,so we will be looking for another cheap car...so onto bigger and better things....let hope so. I am still knitting thank goodness for that huh..I am working on 2 scarfs and I think I will do another dishcloth we will see. I haven't read anything in awhile so I think I might pick up a book to read to..I have an eye appointment today to hopefully get glasses I have never had an eye appointment and I am long over due for one so maybe I will have a picture of me in my new glasses..until then here are some pictures for you of our weather today rainy and cloudy loving it ... have a very blessed day I sure am going to try to have one...

What I did this past Weekend....
I had a very nice and quiet weekend, while my hubby watched the kc vs indio game saturday I ran to a yarn shop in Scottsdale and got me some 12 inch circular needles and a new book. And then it was knitting all the rest of the weekend. Now the problem I am having is trying to pick a new project to start since I finished my sons beanie...what shall I knit next???? I finished 4 dishcloths, my sons beanie, and started a scarve,,,

Reading,,,,
I just finished a good book called On a Highland Shore by Kathleen Givens, and now I am reading a book that came highly recommended by a customer, you see I work at Barns and Noble book store and when a customer highly recommends a book I usually get it, this one is called A Thousand Days in Venice by Marlena De Blasi, here it is I will let you know how it is...
ABOUT THIS BOOK
He saw her across the Piazza San Marco and fell in love from afar. When he sees her again in a Venice cafĂ© a year later, he knows it is fate. He knows little English; and she, a divorced American chef, speaks only food-based Italian. Marlena thinks she is incapable of intimacy, that her heart has lost its capacity for romantic love. But within months of their first meeting, she has packed up her house in St. Louis to marry Fernando—“the stranger,” as she calls him—and live in that achingly lovely city in which they met.
Vibrant but vaguely baffled by this bold move, Marlena is overwhelmed by the sheer foreignness of her new home, its rituals and customs. But there are delicious moments when Venice opens up its arms to Marlena. She cooks an American feast of Mississippi caviar, cornbread, and fried onions for the locals . . . and takes the tango she learned in the Poughkeepsie middle school gym to a candlelit trattorĂa near the Rialto Bridge. All the while, she and Fernando, two disparate souls, build an extraordinary life of passion and possibility.
Featuring Marlena’s own incredible recipes, A Thousand Days in Venice is the enchanting true story of a woman who opens her heart—and falls in love with both a man and a city.
